ABOUT THE OWNER

Dr. Kathy has a BA degree in English and an MAED in English and Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has a Doctorate in Christian Education and Leadership from Logos University in Jacksonville, Florida.

Dr. Kathy, as a former teacher and assistant principal, was the first Black, newly appointed principal to open a new school in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in North Carolina. Three years later, as a central office administrator, she successfully led Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools’ truancy and dropout prevention efforts by implementing several effective programs. She also worked in Rock Hill Schools,’ District 3 in South Carolina. As part of her desire to help other educators, her book, Wisdom Is the Principal Thing, is now  published. It is a quick reference book with tips for new school administrators.

Upon retiring, Dr. Kathy founded Hall's Consulting and Publishing Enterprises, focusing on writing, coaching, conducting workshops and motivational speaking. She contracted with Central Piedmont Community College for seven years, teaching writing and research methods to students. She has presented for schools, churches, and non-profit organizations. Her variety of experiences has given her a unique perspective on how to overcome the typical barriers to success. Dr. Kathy continues to seek ways to help others prosper in their personal and professional endeavors.
